Our first stop will be in Lefkara village, where we will visit the Traditional House of Lefkaritika Lace and silver handicrafts. Here you will learn about the history and evolution of the best known Cypriot embroidery and see some extraordinary pieces of art. Continuing our journey, we will drive through the countryside, passing many beautiful villages, olive groves and vineyards. Before heading up to the Troodos Mountains, we will stop for a short coffee break.
Picturesque mountain roads will bring us to the island’s wealthiest and most luxurious
monastery - Kykkos. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the monastery possesses one of the three icons attributed to Apostle Luke the Evangelist.
Next, we will drive to the highest peak on the island, Mount Olympus, after which you will have time to relax and have lunch at a nearby mountain village. Don’t miss your chance to try the traditional home cooked meat Meze and local wine!
We will then visit a winery, located in the island's best grape region. Here you will have the opportunity to sample a variety of locally produced exquisite wines, including the famous “Commandaria”, which is one of the oldest named wines in the world.
Last stop will be at Omodos village, where we will visit the Timios Stavros Church of the Holy Cross and have time to explore this interesting village.
