Famagusta & Salamis

This tour visits the ancient city of Famagusta, the ruins of Salamis and St Barnabas monastery. Explore these fascinating ancient places and get a taste of the past. Experience the culture and history of Northern Cyprus with this tour to the ancient port city of Famagusta and the North-East coast of Cyprus. 
At Famagusta old town you will be given opportunity to explore. Walk the immense Venetian stone walls, Visit Othello Castle or wander the streets of the old town lined with shops, cafes and traditional architecture.

Optional extra:
-         Visit and guiding at the archeological site of Salamis (approx. 40 mins) and visit and guiding at Saint Barnabas church and tomb (approx. 40 mins).
-         The entrance fees for the above two sites (€5 for adults and free for children up to 12 years old) are not included in the excursion price. The clients can decide on the day of the excursion if they would like to visit the above two places and if they do, they pay for the entrance fees on the day of the excursion!
-    Clients that want to visit Salamis & Saint Barnabas will have approximately 2 hours free time in Famagusta Old Town Center.


Note: PLEASE ALWAYS TELL CLIENTS THAT ON THE DAY OF THIS EXCURSION THEY MUST HAVE WITH THEM THEIR PASSPORTS OR EUROPEAN UNION NATIONAL ID CARDS. ONLY EUROPEAN UNION CITIZENS ARE ALLOWED TO USE EITHER THEIR NATIONAL ID CARDS OR THEIR PASSPORTS FOR CROSSING THE CHECKPOINT. ALL OTHER NATIONALITIES CAN ONLY USE THEIR PASSPORTS. ONLY ORIGINAL TRAVEL DOCUMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE CHECKPOINT. PHOTOCOPIES OF THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!
